Random Bolt, LLC (“Random Bolt,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, protect, and share Personal Information in connection with websites, mobile sites, and applications we own or operate, including randombolt.com and related pages, social media properties, widgets, and other online features (together, the “Site” and the “Services”).

This policy is part of our Terms of Use. Please read both documents before using the Site. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to the handling of your information as described here. We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use after a change is posted constitutes acceptance. Check this page periodically.

What This Policy Covers

This policy applies to information we collect ourselves or through service providers:

• On the Site (including randombolt.com) and our mobile apps
• In email, text, and other electronic messages between you and us
• When you interact with our ads or applications on third-party sites, if those ads or apps link to this policy

It does not apply to:

• Information we collect offline or on other sites we do not operate
• Information collected by third parties (including affiliates) through apps, ads, or content that link to or appear on the Site

Information We Collect

Information you provide

We collect information you choose to give us or place in a profile or account that identifies you, such as name, address, ZIP code, phone number, email address, and similar details (“Personal Information”). This does not include truly anonymous data or data that applicable law treats as exempt.

You may be asked for this information when you register, subscribe, buy something, email us, or otherwise use the Site or Services. Providing it is optional, but some features may not work if you decline.

Categories we may collect, use, store, and transfer include:

• Identity Data: first name, maiden name, last name, username or similar ID, marital status, title, date of birth, gender
• Contact Data: billing and delivery addresses, email, phone numbers
• Financial Data: bank account and payment card details
• Transaction Data: payments to and from you and details of products or Services purchased
• Technical Data: IP address, login data, browser type and version, time zone and location, plug-ins, operating system and platform, and similar device information
• Profile Data: username and password, purchases or orders, interests, preferences, feedback, survey answers
• Usage Data: how you use the Site, products, and Services
• Marketing and Communications Data: your preferences for marketing and how we contact you

We may also create Aggregated Data (statistics or demographics) for any purpose. Aggregated Data is not Personal Information if it cannot identify you. If we combine it with Personal Information so that you can be identified, we treat the combination as Personal Information.

We do not collect special-category data (race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life or sexual orientation, political opinions, trade-union membership, health, genetic or biometric data) or information about criminal convictions or offenses.

User Content

You may post or transmit content in subscriber areas or to other users or third parties (“User Content”). You post at your own risk. Access to some areas is limited to account holders, but no security is perfect. We cannot control other users. We do not guarantee that User Content will stay private.

How we collect information

Direct interactions: You may give us Identity, Contact, and Financial Data by completing forms or contacting us by mail, phone, or email, including when you:

• Subscribe to publications
• Request marketing
• Create an account
• Ask about or order products
• Give feedback or contact us

Automated technologies: When you use the Site, we automatically collect certain Contact and Technical Data through cookies, web beacons, pixels, server logs, and similar tools. We may also receive Technical Data if you visit other sites that use our cookies. See “Automatic collection” below.

Third parties and public sources: We may receive Personal Information from:

• Analytics or search providers (Technical Data)
• Analytics, technical, payment, and delivery providers (Contact, Financial, and Transaction Data)
• Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand Site use. It collects visit frequency, pages viewed, and referring sites, typically by IP address rather than name. We do not combine Google Analytics data with other Personal Information we hold. Google places a cookie to recognize returning visitors; that cookie is for Google’s use under Google’s terms and privacy notice. Google may use the data to analyze the Site, produce reports, and personalize its own ads. See Google’s partner-sites page for details.

The Site may collect browser type, IP address, and operating system to help us and our providers maintain service quality. We intend to use Personal Information for the purpose for which it was requested and any additional uses described on the Site.

When you visit or log in, our data partners or vendors may use cookies and similar technologies to link those activities to other Personal Information they hold about you (including email or home address). We or providers acting for us may then send marketing to those addresses. You may opt out at:

How We Use Your Information

We use information we collect or that you provide, including Personal Information, to:

We may rely on more than one legal basis for a given use. Contact us if you need the specific basis for a particular processing activity. We generally do not rely on consent as the primary basis. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time by contacting us.

Promotional communications from us

We may use Personal Information to tell you about other products or Services and to invite you to surveys or research. You will receive marketing if you requested information or bought from us and have not opted out, or if you opted into marketing. See “Email marketing” below.

Contests, sweepstakes, and similar promotions

We or affiliates may run sweepstakes, contests, giveaways, raffles, or similar promotions that require registration. We typically collect Personal Information from entrants and winners. We may share that information with affiliates, sponsors, co-sponsors, marketing partners, or prize providers, or as the official rules require. Read each promotions rules; if those rules conflict with this policy on Personal Information, the rules control. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices in those promotions.

We may also offer promotional emails during registration. If you want those emails, we will ask for certain Personal Information and interests. To stop them, use the unsubscribe options in this policy and in the emails.

Third-party marketing lists

Random Bolt does not sell, rent, or lease customer lists or names to third parties for those parties’ marketing.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We may share information with trusted partners and payment processors for analytics, email/text/postal communications, support, order fulfillment, delivery, and the purposes in the table above. Those parties may use your Personal Information only to provide the requested products or Services and must keep it confidential consistent with this policy.

We may share with Internal Third Parties and External Third Parties described in the Glossary.

We may review sites users visit to understand popular products and services.

We may disclose Personal Information without prior notice when required by law or when we in good faith believe it is necessary to:

• Comply with legal process, decrees, or statutes
• Protect the Company’s rights or property
• Protect the safety of Site users or the public under urgent circumstances

We may also disclose Personal Information to a party that buys, acquires, or merges with all or part of our business, or from whom we acquire assets that include Personal Information (including in bankruptcy). New owners may use the information as described in this policy.

We require third parties to protect Personal Information and follow applicable law. Service providers may process Personal Information only for specified purposes and on our instructions; they may not use it for their own purposes.

Change of purpose

We use Personal Information only for the purposes collected, unless we reasonably need it for a compatible new purpose. Contact us if you want an explanation of compatibility. For an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and explain the legal basis. We may process Personal Information without notice or consent where law requires or permits it.

If you do not provide information

If we need Personal Information by law or under a contract and you do not provide it, we may be unable to perform the contract (for example, to supply products or Services). We will tell you if we must cancel a product or Service for that reason.

Automatic Collection Technologies

As you use the Site, we may automatically collect:

• Visit details, traffic and location data, logs, communication data, and resources you use
• Information about you (including email or home address in some cases) and your device and connection (IP address, OS, browser type)

This automatically collected information can be Personal Information or can be linked to Personal Information from other sources. We use it to improve the Site and Services—for example, to recognize you, customize content, remember preferences, estimate audience size, speed searches, and recognize return visits.

Technologies may include:

• Cookies: Small text files that identify your browser. Unless you have blocked them, we set cookies when you visit. Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can refuse them or get notified when one is set, but some features may not work. See third-party cookie information below.
• Flash cookies (local stored objects): Some features may use Flash cookies for preferences and navigation. These are not controlled by ordinary browser cookie settings. See Adobe’s Flash settings for management options.
• Web beacons: Small files (clear gifs, pixels, pixel tags) in pages or emails that help us count visits or opens and gather related statistics.

Third-party cookies and tracking

Third parties (servers, content providers, analytics and app providers) may serve content or applications on the Site and may use cookies, beacons, or similar tools. Data they collect may be tied to your Personal Information or used to track you across sites for interest-based ads or other targeting.

The Site uses Adnimation for programmatic ad sales. Adnimation may use first- and third-party cookies for non-sensitive, anonymized targeting data. You can limit personalized ads in your browser settings. Your Choices

You can control some collection and use as follows:

Cookies and ads: Set your browser to refuse some or all cookies or to alert you when cookies are used. Managing Flash cookies is done through Adobe’s Flash player settings. Disabling cookies may break parts of the Site.

We do not control third-party interest-based advertising, but many providers offer opt-outs:

Access and correction

Email privacy@randombolt.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of Personal Information you provided. We may decline a change if it would violate law or make the record inaccurate.

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Montana, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia may have additional rights. See “State privacy rights.”

State privacy rights

State laws may give residents extra rights regarding Personal Information. California residents should also review the Privacy Notice for California Residents at randombolt.com/california-privacy.

Those states (now or in the future) generally provide rights to:

• Confirm whether we process their Personal Information
• Access and obtain a portable copy of Personal Information they provided and delete certain Personal Information
• Correct inaccuracies (except Iowa and Utah in some cases), considering the nature of the data and the purpose of processing
• Data portability
• Opt out of processing for targeted advertising (except Iowa), sales, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects (except Iowa and Utah)
• Limit or require consent for processing of sensitive personal information

Exact rights vary by state. To exercise them, email privacy@randombolt.com. To appeal a decision, email the same address and explain the appeal in reasonable detail.

Nevada residents have a limited right to opt out of certain sales. Submit requests to privacy@randombolt.com or https://randombolt.com/contact. We do not currently sell data in a way that triggers that opt-out.

Advertising partners

We may work with providers and advertisers who collect information across channels (online and offline) to deliver more relevant ads. Partners may place or recognize cookies on your device or in our emails and we may share Personal Information with them as permitted by law and this policy. They may link that information to a cookie and collect IP address, browser/OS details, and demographic or inferred-interest data. They may use it to recognize you across channels for advertising, analytics, attribution, and reporting (for example, an online ad after an offline purchase, or an email after a site visit). How Long We Keep Information

We keep Personal Information while we have a relationship with you and afterward as needed for legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or other business reasons.

Retention periods consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the data, risk of harm from misuse or disclosure, the purposes of processing, whether those purposes can be met another way, and legal requirements.

Email and paid-content subscribers may review and update contact information in their accounts. We may refuse a change that would violate law or create an inaccurate record.

If you delete User Content, copies may remain in caches, archives, or other users’ copies. Use of Site information, including User Content, is also governed by our Terms of Use .

Preference Management — Email Marketing

To stop promotional use of your email for our or third parties’ products or services, email privacy@randombolt.com and ask to be removed, or use the unsubscribe link in our emails.

You generally cannot opt out of transactional messages (account notices, customer service, purchase confirmations, and similar account- or use-related messages).

Security

We use procedural, technical, and physical measures intended to reduce the risk of loss, misuse, or alteration of Personal Information. These measures cannot eliminate all risk. We are not responsible for damages from security failures except as required by law that cannot be limited. Transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk. Keep any Site password confidential and do not share it. Be cautious about posting in public areas; other users may see that information. We are not responsible if privacy settings or security measures on the Site are circumvented.

We use SSL for authentication and encrypted communications. Payment processors we use are based in the United States.

We have procedures for suspected Personal Information breaches and will notify you and regulators when legally required.

Transfers to the United States

We operate globally. Personal Information may be transferred across borders, including to countries with different privacy laws than your own.

The Site is based and operated in the United States. If you are outside the United States, information we collect will be processed there. The United States has an adequacy finding from the EU under GDPR Article 45 via the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We also rely on GDPR Article 49 derogations where appropriate: consent, contract performance, or a compelling legitimate interest that does not override your rights. We apply safeguards consistent with this policy and may use data-processing agreements and standard contractual clauses with vendors when feasible.

Children’s Privacy

You must be 18 or older to purchase products or Services on the Site. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, do not use the Site, register, purchase, or provide name, address, phone, email, or username. If we learn that a user under 18 has registered or provided Personal Information, we will cancel the registration and delete the information. California residents under 16 may have additional rights; see the California privacy notice.

Links and Social Tools

The Site may link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. If you leave our Site, this policy no longer applies; read the other site’s policy.

Social widgets (for example Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube) are governed by those providers’ terms and privacy policies.

Your Legal Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to:

• Access your Personal Information
• Correct it

• Object to processing
• Restrict processing
• Receive a transfer of it
• Withdraw consent

• Fees: Access and other rights requests are usually free. We may charge a reasonable administrative fee, or refuse the request, if it is clearly unfounded or excessive, and we will explain why.
• Identity checks: We may ask for information to confirm your identity and your right to the data. We may also ask follow-up questions to handle the request faster.
• Timing: We aim to respond to legitimate requests within 45 days. Complex or multiple requests may take longer; we will notify you and keep you informed.

Policy Updates

We may change this policy to reflect new practices. We will post the revised policy on the Site. Changes take effect on the new Effective Date. Continued use after that date is consent to the updated policy.

Glossary

Legitimate interest — Our interest in running the business so we can offer a good, secure product and experience. We weigh impact on you and your rights. We do not use Personal Information where our interests are overridden by that impact, unless we have consent or law requires or allows it. Contact us for how we balance interests for specific activities.

Performance of contract — Processing needed to perform a contract with you or to take steps you request before a contract.

Comply with a legal obligation — Processing required to meet a legal duty that applies to us.

Internal Third Parties — Company affiliates acting as joint controllers or processors in the United States that provide IT, system administration, and reporting.

External Third Parties include:

• U.S.-based service providers acting as processors for IT and system administration
• U.S.-based professional advisers (attorneys, bankers, auditors, insurers) for legal, banking, insurance, and accounting services
• Marketing providers (PR, advertisers, sales)

More detail on legal rights

Access — Receive a copy of Personal Information we hold and confirm we process it lawfully.

Correction — Have incomplete or inaccurate data corrected. We may need to verify new information you give us.

Erasure — Ask us to delete Personal Information when there is no good reason to keep processing it, when you have successfully objected, when processing was unlawful, or when law requires deletion. We may refuse for specific legal reasons and will tell you if so.

Objection — Object when we rely on legitimate interests and your situation means processing affects your rights and freedoms, or object to direct marketing. We may show compelling legitimate grounds that override your rights.

Restriction — Ask us to pause processing if you contest accuracy, if use is unlawful but you do not want erasure, if you need us to keep data for legal claims after we no longer need it, or if you have objected and we are checking whether we have overriding grounds.

Transfer — Receive Personal Information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or have it sent to a third party you choose. This applies to automated data you consented to or that we used to fulfil a contract with you.

Withdraw consent — Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already done. We may be unable to provide some products or services afterward and will tell you if that is the case.
