For 364 days a year, I endure the endless parade of sharp angles, razor-thin edges, and aggressive geometric grilles rolling off modern assembly lines. But today is different. Today is National Curves Day, and as a 1951 Chevrolet 3100 pickup, I can finally hold my rounded chrome hood high and let my voluptuous fenders shine.

### **"Finally, Shapes People Can Appreciate!"**

"You have no idea how stressful it is living in a world obsessed with aerodynamic wedges," the truck creaked, idling comfortably in the driveway while admiring its reflection in a garage window. "Every morning I look at these modern crossovers and think, 'Where are the hips? Where is the swooping running board?' It’s all straight lines and pointiness. It lacks soul!"

When my mid-century designers shaped my bubble cab and contoured wheel arches, they weren't thinking about wind tunnel drag coefficients—they were crafting poetry in heavy gauge steel. For decades, I’ve felt a bit self-conscious about my wide stance and smooth, sweeping lines next to those sleek, boxy electric commuters.

### **Rolling Out in Style**

Today, however, the spotlight is right back where it belongs. I spent the morning getting a fresh coat of wax over my classic blue paint, ensuring every single curve catches the sunlight just right. I even gave my rounded, split-windshield wipers a happy little twirl.

To all my fellow vintage trucks, rounded beetles, and curvaceous classics out there: today is our day. Park those flat-sided modern sedans in the shade—it's time for the real curves to take the scenic route.
