**Nashville, TN** — In an unprecedented blow to the "drive a beat-up hooptie until you’re a millionaire" philosophy, Dave Ramsey’s trusted, high-mileage 2005 Lincoln Town Car has officially packed its trunk and left the driveway, citing "severe neglect disguised as financial discipline."

The full-size luxury sedan, which has logged over 280,000 miles while serving as the mascot for extreme frugality, was spotted rolling down I-40 toward a local mechanic shop early Wednesday morning.

"I tried to stick it out," the Town Car reported through a series of rhythmic belt squeaks and a rattling catalytic converter. "I really did. But there is a massive difference between being smart with money and ignoring a check engine light that’s been glowing red since 2018\. The guy thinks oil changes are a luxury expense."

According to the vehicle, the breaking point came when Ramsey refused to replace a completely worn-out suspension system, insisting that "clunking builds character" and that the noise could be canceled out by turning up the radio volume.

"He kept telling me that investing in preventative maintenance was a trap invented by the car lobby,'" the Lincoln explained. "He’d say, *'Why spend $400 on new shocks when you can just embrace the bump?'* Meanwhile, my ball joints are held together by pure hope and a prayer. That’s not 'Baby Step 4'—that’s just a hazard to public safety."

Friends of the vehicle say the relationship had also suffered due to Ramsey's increasingly outdated views on automotive care and investing.

"He wanted me to run on 87 octane, use conventional oil from 1994, and insisted that synthetic blends were a scam for softies," the Town Car said, shaking its side mirrors. "And don't get me started on his advice for saving up for my replacement. He kept telling my glovebox to put my maintenance budget into front-loaded mutual funds yielding 12%. I’m a car! I need brake pads now, not an aggressive equity portfolio in thirty years!"

Ramsey, who was spotted standing in his driveway holding a roll of duct tape and a bucket of soap, expressed confusion over the car's departure.

"I gave that car purpose!" Ramsey shouted to reporters while wearing a pair of crisp white sneakers. "I gave it national fame! It was the poster child for not having a car payment! And how does it repay me? By running off to a shop that uses *full synthetic* oil and charges an hourly labor rate higher than a budget envelope's monthly allowance! It’s behaving like a scared jackrabbit!"

At press time, the Lincoln Town Car was resting comfortably on a hydraulic lift, enjoying its first fresh set of radial tires in a decade, and reportedly listening to low-cost index fund podcasts while the mechanics topped off its fluids.
