**Mountain Home, AR** — A local 1998 Buick LeSabre has officially broken its silence, pleading with its long-time owner, 82-year-old Velma Sullivan, to stop revving the modified straight-pipe exhaust system she installed last summer.

The sedan, affectionately named "The Silver Bullet," claims that while popular motorcycle culture insists "loud pipes save lives," the reality on the suburban asphalt is much more terrifying.

### **A Terrifying Commute to Bingo**

According to dashboard telemetry and an emotional statement leaked from the glove compartment, the vehicle’s nerves have been shot ever since Velma upgraded the exhaust system following a brief stint watching street racing clips on her tablet.

"Every time she hits the gas out of the grocery store parking lot, I think the end is near," whispered the LeSabre's check engine light, which has been glowing steadily out of solidarity. "I’m a reliable, cushiony boat meant for gentle cruises to the pharmacy. When that exhaust roars like a jet engine, my suspension shakes, my hubcaps rattle, and I genuinely fear we’re taking off into orbit."

### **Neighbors and Wildlife Speak Out**

The modification has not only rattled the Buick's internal frame but has also disrupted the peaceful rhythm of the retirement community.

A local neighborhood panel gathered to assess the situation and compiled a list of grievances:

- **Squirrel Anxiety:** Local wildlife reportedly flees into the treetops three minutes before Velma even turns down the street.
- **Garage Tremors:** The garage door has reportedly vibrated off its tracks on two separate occasions during cold starts.
- **Misplaced Heroics:** The LeSabre noted that instead of warning pedestrians of danger, the sound mostly just startles pigeons into flying directly into the windshield.

### **Velma Remains Unbothered**

Despite the car’s subtle protests—including a squeaky serpentine belt and an intentionally misplaced tire pressure sensor—Velma shows no signs of slowing down or quiet trust in standard mufflers.

"If they can't hear us coming, how will they know I'm on my way to get the early bird special?" Velma commented while adjusting her fuzzy steering wheel cover. "It builds character. Besides, the vibration really helps my sciatica."

As of Tuesday morning, the LeSabre was seen quietly idling near the curb, praying that the next trip to the hardware store doesn't involve any sudden acceleration.
